About

A Pharmig conference, in India.

The organiser · Pharmig, United Kingdom

A confidential forum since 1991

Pharmig exists to disseminate information on pharmaceutical microbiology among people who practise it — a not-for-profit interest group whose committee is drawn from industry, academia and consultancy rather than from a commercial organiser.

Its conferences, publications and webinars have set the reference points that the sector now argues over. Pharmig India is a Pharmig conference: the Pharmig committee owns the programme and chairs both days.

Depth-first journalism for pharma manufacturing

Pharma Now reports on pharmaceutical manufacturing, regulation and science for the people running it — long-form explanation over churn, and the Microbiology Matters podcast for the conversations that do not fit in an article.

Pharma Now supports Pharmig India 2026 as its Indian partner: it runs the delegate desk and local logistics, and carries the conference to its readership through coverage, webinars and the podcast.

Why Pharmig, in India

Global regulatory expectation is written in Europe and enforced everywhere. It is answered, in practice, on Indian manufacturing floors. Pharmig India puts both halves of that sentence in one room.

The boards behind the programme

Two boards, two jobs. One decides what belongs on the programme. The other decides what gets published.

Advisory board

The people who decide what belongs on the programme, and what does not.

The advisory board sets the themes, reviews every session proposal against what sites are actually struggling to evidence, and holds the line on the no-product-pitch rule. Remaining seats are being appointed.
